I am a German-Iranian photographer working at the intersection of social documentary and artistic photography. My approach is rooted in observation and reflection—capturing moments that reveal the quiet, human layers beneath the visible surface.
I studied Photography at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Dortmund, where my bachelor’s project Land of Five Waters laid the foundation for a practice grounded in narrative and empathy. During my master’s program Photographic Studies, I developed The Prison – Photography in the Age of AI, a work that explores how technology shapes our understanding of image, truth, and perception. It is both a collaboration with and a critique of artificial intelligence—an attempt to question how we construct and read reality in the digital age.
My work often begins with documentary intent but moves beyond pure representation. I see photography as an open field—one that allows me to examine how images influence our collective memory, our sense of self, and our relation to others. Each project becomes a dialogue between control and coincidence, the familiar and the imagined, aiming to give space to marginalized voices and to rethink how we see.
